Frontier Scientific Solutions is to open a new GMP pharmaceutical storage facility at the Wilmington International Airport, US. This is intended to optimise the shipping of time and temperature-sensitive medicines.

As part of the project, a second storage facility at the Shannon Airport in Ireland will also be opened. The two locations will facilitate the streamlining of shipping lanes for essential life science materials in a strategic route between North America and Europe, and is intended to bring financial benefits through its designation as Free Trade Zones.

As well as increasing the speed and efficiency of these products, benefits will include less risk, fewer touchpoints and more sustainable operations.

Flight operations are planned to begin early in 2025  and Frontier Scientific Solutions is also offering a fast direct-ocean lane from North Carolina to Cork, Ireland, achieving delivery in just 12 days via this route.
