The USA based CDMO Afton Scientific has announced that it will invest over $200 million to expand its biopharmaceutical manufacturing facility in Albemarle County, Virginia.

Afton Scientific specialises in small-batch filling of injectables from clinical trials to approved commercial drugs, with the investment expected to implement newer manufacturing technologies and create over 200 new jobs at the site.
