Hovione, a Portuguese integrated CDMO focused on spray drying and particle engineering, has completed expansions in Europe and the USA.

The investments at its East Windsor, New Jersey, and Ringaskiddy, Cork, facilities will increase Hovione’s global spray drying capacity and enhance the sites‘ capabilities.

In New Jersey, the investment represents the first stage of a multi-year site expansion programme, aimed at advancing both spray drying and tableting capabilities. Simultaneously, the Cork facility’s spray drying capacity will increase by approximately double. Combined, the investments will create over 40 new skilled jobs, supporting growth and innovation across both locations.

The expansions are intended to provide flexible supply options for both small- and large-scale programmes. By increasing its capacity and enhancing our technological capabilities, the company expects to be better equipped to help its customers to bring new and more complex drugs to market.
